Wood is searching for a Marine Rigger/Marine Ops Tech with experience in the oil and gas industry.
Work schedule of 14×14 with a work terminal out of Galliano, LA.
Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.
Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding around Personal and Process Safety.
Provide input on marine related matters to maintain the stability of the facility and keep the Marine Team Leader informed of any significant changes.
Strive every day to ensure any work undertaken personally or by co-workers is done with a driven purpose to eliminate or reduce risk from the workplace.
Ensure operations are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements, company controls and guidelines.
Services include but are not limited to: Daily Facility Surveillance in relationship to egress route surveys and daily security rounds.
Fire-Fighting and Safety equipment surveys, aid in Marine PM’s and Equipment maintenance
Marine Control Room trainee and support relief for the BCO
Direct BCO step up when license obtained
Primary support for bunkering operation
PIC for Confined Space Entries-All Crafts
Support Crane Operations
Contribute to the safe and efficient operations through competent operations and maintenance of process systems and associated equipment.
Obtain the capability to operate, monitor and adjust utility, safety and control systems and equipment which includes:
Marine Management Systems (watch keeping, mooring systems, SIMOPS, Integrated Marine Management Systems).
Process Equipment (hand pumps, hull ventilation/dehumidification).
Facility Support Systems (potable water, diesel/fuel storage and bunkering).
Vessel Support Systems (HVAC, compressed air, cooling water, bunkering, cathodic protection).
Emergency Systems & Equipment (firefighting, lifesaving, collision avoidance radar, lifeboats/FRCs).
5 Years Offshore experience desired; Must have USCG Lifeboatman licence
Preferred – USCG BCO or AB Seaman license
