Marine SuperintendentWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Marine Superintendent on behalf of our client. This is a full time staff position based in Westhill, with occasional offshore trips required. The purpose of the position is to provide direct support to the Fleet Operations Manager to ensure a consistent delivery of marine and DP operations fleet wide, while provided Vessel Masters and Business Units with support on marine and DP related issues.Key duties;Assist Fleet Operations Manager in safe and efficient running of the fleetEnsure Company owned and managed vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and economical manner and in full compliance with Class, Statutory regulations, the ISM Code and ISO 9001; ISO14001 and ISO18001 StandardsProvide support and guidance to Vessel Masters, Asset Operations Teams and Project Teams on marine and DP issuesEnsure that Planned Maintenance System (Deck Department) is being operated and reported to high standard and is in compliance with the ISM Code, MLC 2006 and company proceduresPrepare vessel repair specifications in association with the Vessel SuperintendentEnsure that vessels carry the required publications, procedures, operational manuals, and other documentation required by Flag State and other regulatory bodies, and that these are updated as requiredUndertake visits to vessels (alongside and offshore), other Company premises and Client Offices as required by the Fleet Operations ManagerAssist with accident or incident investigations and preparation of reports in conjunction with other investigation team members and Lead AuditorParticipate in vessel inspections and presentations as required. Provide accurate reports indicating vessels current equipment, machinery, structural and operational statusMonitor the vessel Safety Committees and respond to Vessel Safety Meeting MinutesMonitor the performance of sub-contractors services provided to vessel operations (e.g. consumables, catering) and liaising with sub-contractor to report, discuss and implement any corrective actions considered necessaryWhere required, assist in the management of Vessel Assurance for the fleet as directed by Fleet Operations ManagerExperience required;Senior Marine Qualification (STCW II/2 or III/2 or equivalent)DP Operational experience of serving on offshore diving, pipelay and/or construction vesselsProven knowledge of marine and DP systems, operations and legislationProven knowledge of IMCA guidelines and industry bast practicesValid STCW COC and medical certificateValid STCW Certificates and Offshore SurvivalUnlimited DP CertificateOther requirements;Unlimited Master Mariner?s license in compliance with STCW II/2Operational experience in senior capacity on pipelay, saturation diving and construction vesselsExperience in office environment dealing with marine and DP related mattersMarine Engineering or Nautical Studies degree or equivalentDesignated Person Ashore and Company Security Officer trainingIMCA Competence Assessor and VerifierKelvin Top-SET Lead Investigator trainingMarine Auditor / Lead Auditor trainingeCMID InspectorThe Nautical Institute Navigation Asssessors trainingExperience with incident investigations and marine audits (ISM, eCMID, etc.)Working knowledge of eCMID, OVMSA and OVID databases
