Brief Posting Description
The Testing Technician is responsible for conducting a thorough test on all parts and functions in Warrior Rig Technologies products to ensure quality and completeness prior to shipment. This position completes testing documentation and works closely with shop technicians, shop supervisor, engineering, and other support personnel to resolve any issues that may arise during the testing process.

This role will report to the Quality Assurance Advisor.
Maintain and enhance working relationships with customers
Test all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on Warrior products prior to shipment
Accurately record all testing and maintain test records
Utilize pre-test checklists to ensure completeness of product prior to testing and to ensure the product is safe to test without risk of injury to personnel or damage to product
Develop testing documents where required
Ensure final quality and completeness of the product, this will include working with field service to improve communication of field deficiencies
Ensure responsible and accurate documentation of all steps taken by the testing group
Organize test areas and apparatus to allow for safe, efficient, and thorough testing of Warrior products
Maintain test equipment
Liaise with Engineering on design of test apparatus and procedures for testing new products
Help to develop lean manufacturing processes to enhance productivity
Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting factory acceptance tests
Ensure safety of all personnel involved in testing
All other duties as assigned
Proficient with hydraulic systems
Proficient with electrical systems
Ability to troubleshoot
Strong ability to manage time effectively, think strategically, and translate concepts into action plans and track results
Excellent communication, computer, and documentation skills
Ability to work with an emphasis and prioritization to maintain a professional attitude when interacting with all Company and customer representatives
Must be able to work closely with others and manage customer and employee interaction in a professional manner
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem solving skills with a track record of initiative within the workplace
Ability and willingness to travel, including international
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
5 years of experience in repairing and troubleshooting TDS-11 Top Drives
Must have and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license and be eligible to drive Company vehicle including ability to meet requirements of Company’s Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy
Associates degree in a technical field or other technical formal training
Experience in a manufacturing and/or fabrication facility
Knowledge of top drive recertification and repair processes is an asset
Understanding of oilfield terminology and parts, specifically related to top drive, catwalks, is an asset
This position requires the person to work in both an office and shop environment. This position must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. You will be required to work under tight deadlines including time-sensitive response situations in which case you may be required to work extended hours that could include nights, weekends and holidays.
