Job description: Who We Are Looking For The Country Manager is the KCA Deutag key representative specific to the country of assignment. The Country Manager has overall responsibility for maximising the commerciality of operations within that country whilst ensuring operations are carried out in a safe, effective and trouble free manner that minimises risk to personnel and equipment and delivers the expected level of value to the client. The Country Manager should develop full understanding of KCA Deutag World Wide Standards and aid the implementation in their Country. The successful candidate should be willing to work on a residential contract in Kuwait. Responsibilities * Sets up the Country Organization in Kuwait to deliver ‘Safe, effective, trouble-free operations’. * Continually assesses and re-evaluates, work is carried out in a safe manner, within KCA Deutag Worldwide Standards. Operates fit for purpose rigs and equipment within country specific operations and according to company standards. Ensures security of workforce and assets. * Conducts business in line with KCA Deutag culture and core values. * Develops and maintains a close working relationship with government bodies, regulators, unions and national oil companies. * Develops and maintains a close working relationship with the client: promotes positive client relations both on a professional and social level. Ensures KCA Deutag operating units are operated, maintained and manned in accordance with contracts and at a level that provides client satisfaction. * Responsible for success of contract execution, including country specific requirements, and ensuring all support service function activities are carried out in accordance with group worldwide standards and local management system procedures and processes. * Promotes regular and open communication with all parties involved with the operation and delivery of contract obligations, including: Client Representatives, subcontractors, HSE, Operations/Rig Manager, Business Development, Commercial, Human Resources, Maintenance, Global Supply Management, Purchasing, Performance Services and Finance. * Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures relating to Business Ethics – within their business area and where interface exists with other departments / operations / companies. Expediting any concerns to the appropriate person / group within the organization at the earliest opportunity. Key Skills & Experience * Previous experience in managing a country with a diversified team in the Oil and Gas sector, preferably with Drilling Contractor or International Service Company background. * Ability to lead a team with all the various functions in country and ensure that Performance Contracts are delivered every year. * Controls the P & L for Kuwait and must have previous experience of managing P & L.
