Technical Engineering OfficerPublished 31st May 2018Location London, United Kingdom Job Type PermanentCategory Engineering OfficerJob Reference TechOFF/AHVessel Type RoRoQualification Requirements EOOW UK CoC/CEC, ENG1, STCW, etcDescriptionWe are looking for a Technical Engineering Officer to take the lead in the safe technical integration of new vessels as well as the transitional technical upkeep for our client based on the London River.The programme of works will see two new Diesel/Electric Hybrid Vessels currently, complete with environmentally efficient Propulsion Systems and state of the art technological advancements.Principal Responsibilities Include;Ensuring the safe, effective and profitable delivery of the contract based on customer KPIsDeploying a team to provide first line mobile technical and engineering support for;Vessels,Ancillary Machinery and plantManagement of Planned Maintenance Systems and Remote Monitoring Control SystemsImplementing operational processes and proceduresYour technical profile will reflect the following skill set:Essential Skillset;Marine Engineer, with minimum MCA STCW’95 II/1 OOW CertificationENG1 Seafarer Medical CertificatePrevious experience in similar role and with the following;Working on modern Large Vessels within 5 yearsDiesel Generator EnginesEngine/Power ManagementPlanned Maintenance SystemsHigh Voltage Plant OperationExcellent organisational, time management, quality and communication skillsIT Skills – Microsoft Office experience, in particular Word, Excel (Advanced) and Project PlannerThe ideal candidate will have a proactive and flexible approach to working to be able to deputise for the Technical Manager and operate on the on-call duty rota.Candidates should live within commuting distance of LondonTravel within the UK and abroad is also a requirement of this role.You will receive an excellent package commensurate with your experience and the opportunity for career development within the organisation.Experience Required Desirable Power Mgmt/Diesel experience
