Job Description
Manage the workload, coach, develop, and assure work of direct reports. Coordinating the use of external/contract resources to support the team’s activities while developing local engineering capability and capacity.
Develop, Manage, and Execute SubSea System Maintenance Strategy of the entire Subsea Production System, including the Subsea Production Control System) (PMs, Assessments, Documentation, KPIs and dashboards).
Support, Review and Execute Operations Growth Strategy for applicable assets (Dolphin, Hibiscus and Poinsettia), including operations, maintenance, life extension, and project/hardware improvements.
Review and Support Delivery of Green and Brownfield subsea systems, commissioning, well unloads, interventions, and abandonments.
Develop, Execute, Maintain, and Assure SS Proactive Technical Monitoring.
Sponsor for Discipline Functional Improvement Plan.
Asset Support – RCA, MOC, WRFM, DPRs, HAZOPs, IAP, MTA, FFF, Subsea Operating Summary.
Develop new and manage existing contract frame agreements as Contract Holder for OEM vendors, subsea suppliers and marine ROV/diving vessels to deliver strategic cost reductions for Subsea – PT2020/Competitive Scoping.
Technical assurance – TA2/TA3, DCAF, PCAP, ACAL, MOC – for all Project phases and OR&A, CSU, and P2A during Project Delivery and Execute.
Develop, Maintain, and Assure Subsea System Functional Requirements.
Develop Subsea Budget Forecasts for OP planning, support FAIR and LE processes and provide reporting to Stakeholders.
Develop T&T Subsea Operators Group – subsea committee and In-country development/capability working group.
Develop and Manage Subsea Integrity Assurance (IA) Strategies, Programs and Processes; Analyze & Improve (PMs, Assessments, Documentation, KPIs).
Develop and Maintain Subsea System integrity banding register.
Requirements:
Experience: 8+ years industry experience in Subsea Systems engineering/Subsea Controls
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in related engineering discipline.
Experience as Leader of Teams or Leader of Communities is preferred.
Strong operational background is required.
Experience in Project Management, Operations Readiness, Subsea Well Delivery, and Flow Assurance is preferred.
Demonstrated personal commitment to Safety as a Value is required.
Proven ability to lead teams and work assertively within cross discipline teams. Excellent interpersonal skills, coaching Shell and third party staff in multi-cultural environments.
Experience with surface disciplines and processes including Managing Threats & Opportunities, Production System Optimization, WRFM, and Proactive Technical Monitoring is desired.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and Continuous Improvement principles is a base requirement.
Ability to accomplish goals which require resources outside span of control.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities to build ownership toward the asset and maximise overall results.
Communicate effectively with senior management, external bodies, and all levels of employees within direct organization.
Work through others to achieve results while mentoring and developing staff competence.
Change Management skills.
Exercise independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines, knowing when to escalate.
