Are you an experienced OIM, looking for your next rotational positing, in Dubai?Job PurposeThe Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) is the overall responsible for the rig and its personnel. He must take an extensive series of safety, environmental and leadership courses to build up the necessary theoretical knowledge to lead a crew of up to 180 members.The OIM is also the overall responsible for all safety of personnel on board, and he ensures that -all operations on-board are performed in line with all rules and regulations. He also ensures that the client’s representative is kept informed about all activities and operations on board the rig.The OIM will manage the manpower and resources of the rig to achieve optimum performance so as to ensure the program is carried out in a safe, efficient and productive manner. The OIM will promote and ensure that all Company Policies and Procedures are communicated and understood by personnel on the rig. Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)Operations/Maintenance:Manage the planning and efficient execution of the work-over/drilling/production program in coordination with well operations or production department and rig department heads.Hold daily operations meeting with rig department heads.Ensure pre-job meeting is carried out for hazardous situations and non-routine operations.Monitor all on-board equipment and systems usage, supervise testing and inspection of critical equipment and systems, and ensure operational parameters and limits are observed.Organize and supervise the activities of drilling, marine and maintenance departments and ensure rig specific procedures are understood and observed by all personnel on-board.Responsible for all third party services on the rig.Promote and maintain a good working relationship with department heads and third party personnel.Ensures rig complies with Flag State and certifying Regulatory Bodies requirements. Financial:Develop and submit a consolidated rig’s annual maintenance budget for approval, and responsible for managing compliance on an annual basis.Review all rig generated Requisitions Purchase Orders.Manages warehouse inventory level to comply with targets.Health Safety and Environment (HSE):Ensure that the Company HSE policies and other programmes are communicated to and understood by all rig personnel.Play an active part in the weekly meetings, Quality Improvement Plan program, and all other Company safety management systems.Ensure new arrivals receive a full safety briefing and induction on the rig.Ensure that drills and exercises involving the use of all types of lifesaving, firefighting and other safety equipment are conducted regularly. Supervision:Supervises the Senior Tool Pusher/Tool Pusher, Master/Barge Supervisor, and Maintenance Supervisor/Chief Engineer. Communication and Important Working Relationships:Reporting Line, Head of Well Operations, Drilling Superintendent, Drilling Managers,Exploration, Development and Production, Production Support Team Manager,Head of Engineering, Head of Health, Safety and Environment, OffshoreLeadership Team (Operations Superintendent, Maintenance Superintendent,Construction Superintendent, HSE Advisor and Offshore Medic).
