NES Global Talent has a fantastic contract opportunity for a Drilling Engineer to join our prestigious Aberdeen based client.The successful applicant will be required to deliver services of an offshore surface and subsea drilling engineer. You will be required to provide pre planning support including Landmark engineering modeling, liaison with service providers and contractor, arranging peer & Risk Uncertainty Management Reviews. You will also assist Assets in subsurface planning of wells & Decision Support Package development, technical limit & benchmarking, cost estimates, HSE notifications and other permits. Amongst this, you will also be required to provide drilling engineering support for surface and subsea wells during the execution phase, including development of detail well design. There will be a requirement to attend offshore visits and support during the execution phase, whilst being able to demonstrate the knowledge, experience and ability to complete well lookbacks and final well reports post execution phase.Experience with ERD, horizontal project delivery, a strong background in North Sea deepwater and HPHT is strongly desired, along with the knowledge to be able to support well design and execution performance improvement efforts. We are looking for someone who can design and prepare directional and ERD drilling programs for platform and wells, including pore pressure prediction, casing design, drill string design and Risk Uncertainty Management Plans. You will be degree qualified with a relevant engineering degree, ideally with a number of years experience working in the North Sea.
