Minimum Requirement 10 + years spent in Completion projects with a varied experiences (including ERD, offshore /onshore, completion deployment and workover) • Degree in relevant Engineering discipline such as Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum ten years’ experience and knowledge of completion and workover engineering functions Demonstrate experience & proficiency as a Completion Engineer in: Developed Completion programs including: • Daily engineering support for completion operations and create and present all internally requested reporting • Participates as completion representative planning and executing completion well designs for an oil, gas or water injection well • Prepare completion programs including equipment specification and selection, stress analysis, program amendments, and dispensations to policy are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed. • Liaise with sub-surface, production team, well operations teams to ensure completion design is fit for purpose. • Participates as requested in HAZOPS, SIMOPS and Risk Assessments. Skills Required • Performs front end planning and design of complex wells as well as slot allocation before initiation of the WDP process • Drill Team Member in Centralized Well Planning Efforts • Ability to prepare and maintain Completion Basis of Design Document • Aids in the review of completion ERD standards / guidelines. • Ability to execute and mentor less experienced engineers in all aspects of Tubing Design including movement calculations • Advanced understanding of Completion Fluids Technology • Fully understanding of Cementing Technology • Advanced understanding of Well Control Equipment and Procedures • Advanced understanding of Blowout Prevention Equipment and Testing • Advanced understanding of upper and lower Completion and Workover Equipment Technology • Advanced understanding of Intelligent Completions, near reservoir technologies, • Implement lessons learned as identified in engineering & operational lessons learned • Completions and Workover Problem Solving (Lost Returns, Stuck Pipe, Hole Instability) • Work autonomously in all aspects of well operations and well integrity • Advanced Technical Writing & equipment evaluation • Understanding of Directional Drilling • Fundamental Reservoir Engineering Independent of Operations • Ability to interpret tubing stress analysis, torque and drag modeling • Computing skills including MS Office • IWCF or Equivilent Well Control certification • Familiar with Industry Completion and testing standards • Industry Survival Training • Assure adequate third party Quality Assurance and Quality Control • Conducts assessments of new completion technology and practices as required. • Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient Technology Performance Engineering • Identify inefficent operations and procedures and develop mitigatison for same • Understand and develop measures to mitigated invisible lost time • Lead team to manage and implement any performance engineering initiatives identified Cost/AFE generation/surveillance Developed Completion Standards Participated in a Rig Equipment Inspection Good understanding of Drilling techniques and technology Open hole and Cased Hole Logging including coil tubing deployment Ability to lead Risk Assessment Teams Fundamental Geology Fundamental Reservoir Engineering Advanced Technical Writing Participated in QAQC inspections/audits Carbonate drilling experience is required Experince with Landmark Applications (Wellplan, Wellcost, StressCheck, Openwells & compass) Experince with Landmark Decision Space is prefrred Managed unstable shales & Heavy losses (shallow & deep) in previous experiences Contributed to a few SPE papers and deployement of new technologies Worked as a Senior Completion Engineer Experience with Major IOC is preferable WellControl certified Experience in GCC preferable Established in 1978, NES Global Talent provides a complete range of contract and permanent talent solutions to the Oil and Gas, Power, Construction and Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Manufacturing and IT sectors worldwide.
