Rig Electricians will work independently and with other department personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. Includes troubleshoot issues, general repair of drilling equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Prioritize, schedule, and complete incoming work requests while providing a safe work environment and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Perform scheduled and proactive maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure a high level of operation.
Compile information from walk-through assessments to proactively resolve any issues in order to maintain world-class facilities.
Coordinate needed repairs, manage equipment replacement, and oversee vendor performance.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, drilling systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of equipment does not deteriorate.
Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manualsand part catalogs as necessary.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines.
Other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings, offices,and other company structures.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state or national security operations for the protection of people and property.
Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong, recognizing there is a problem.
Good written and verbal English communications skills.
Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.
Able to multi task and be detail oriented.
Able to proactively embrace and champion change.
Able to be self motivated and perform task with minimal supervision.
Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.
Valid state-issued US Drivers Licens and ability to meet company vehicle driving requirements

Ability to work a rotational schedule, with on-call, weekend, and holiday work as required

Education and Work Experience
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
One to three years of work-related experience
Journeyman License
Electrical maintenance on oilfield rigs
