WAREHOUSE MATERIALS STOREMAN – Job Description
Responsibilities within the role will include:
Stock receiving and dispatch
Picking, preparing and packing orders
Records management of inbound/outwards goods
Records management of stock inventory
Unloading goods from trucks and containers as required
Ensuring that products are safely stored in appropriate locations
Contacting transportation suppliers, completion of consignment notes and recording details of packages utilizing required documentation
Consolidating stock and using the forklift for stock put-away or to create space for inbound stock
Ensuring timely dispatch of goods
Assisting to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise in relation to damage, quantity and quality of inbound or outbound goods
Assisting in stock take activities
Order delivery
Maintaining order and cleanliness of warehouse and company property
Ensuring warehouse compliance with OHS requirements
Assisting with counter and telephone as required
Some physical work and heavy lifting will be required
RequirementsExperience and skills required:
Current Forklift license essential
Valid Drivers license preferably CDL A
Picking and Packing skills are required
Previous warehouse / distribution experience
Administration and data entry
Basic computer skills are essential
Must be able to multi-task
Confident in establishing systems and procedures
Document control experience
Must be authorized to work in U.S. without sponsorship
To succeed in this role you must have a good eye for detail, excellent record keeping and be able to work well within a small team. You must also be enthusiastic, friendly and a team player willing to assist with others when required.
