Position Summary
Carries out a variety of physical activities on the rig floor and job site work location.Reports to
Operator, Field SupervisorDirect Reports
NoneMajor Responsibilities:
Supplies equipment to rig floors as requested
Moves pipe using tongs, winches and motorized lifts, or by hand
Unscrews or tightens pipe, casing, tubing, and pump rods, using hand and power wrenches and tongs
Dismantles and repairs oil field machinery using hand tools and power tools
Cleans up spills
Keeps pipe deck and main deck areas clean and tidy
Assists in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs
Performs other tasks as assigned
Properly maintain tools
Qualifications and Skills
Required
Must be able to pass Basic’s operational and safety courses
Knowledge of basic mechanical functions
Preferred:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Position requires long periods of standing and sitting and the ability to work long hours if necessary
Ability to lift up to100 lbs
Working Conditions and Hazards
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions
Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery and exposure to chemicals and loud noises
