Aeon Process Equipment and Controls is searching for an experienced Field Tower Mechanic to join our team!

Under direct supervision of Site Supervisor or designee, the Field Services Tower Mechanic performs tasks on job sites in process internals and maintenance tasks in industrial plants.

Essential Functions

Install fractionation trays and distributors.
Install structured packing and random packing.
Work in confined spaces.
Operate at heights.
Clean and prepare project sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Operate small hand and power tools, decontamination of equipment.
Handling of hazardous and non hazardous materials.
Other Functions
Track timesheets, expense reports, and invoices
Other functions as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility
May supervise Field Technicians.

Work Environment
This position is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold may be needed as well as wind and humidity. Activities may occur both inside and outside. Work may include occasional operation of power tools and machinery. This position is subject to hazards such as moving vehicles, electrical current, and exposure to chemicals. Exposure to loud noises, equipment under high pressures and temperatures as well as flammable/explosive vapors, and working at elevated levels.

Ability to lift and carry up to and over 75 lbs.
Ability to grasp objects and push and pull up to and over 75 lbs.

Ability to perform repetitive finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck movement
Ability to climb ladders on occasion
Ability to reach at shoulder level or below
Ability to hold objects of up to 75 lbs. while reaching
Ability to work in heights
Ability to work in a confined space (18-36 inches in diameter)
Must be able to perform work while wearing PPE, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses, etc.
Respiratory Protection Fit-Testing and Pulmonary Function Testing is required
Ability to navigate around obstacles
Good manual dexterity for the use of power tools

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that requires on-site attendance. General days and hours of work vary throughout the week.
Travel in the local area as well as out of the area with short notice may be required. Overnight travel at extended periods of time will be required.

Required Qualifications

Ability to read and speak English
Valid Driver’s License
Random DOT drug testing required
Must be able to meet all safety training requirements
Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED required
Two years or more of industrial plant experience blinding, opening, cleaning, and repair of pressure vessels working, such as towers, vessels, reactors, or drums installing mass transfer equipment (trays, packing, distributors, collectors, etc.
Ability to read blueprint drawings and utilize them to properly install process internals
